Striped Turkish beach towel

Oversized beach towel made from Turkish long-fibre cotton and recycled yarns, giving life to our mill’s leftover fibres.

Flat-woven, it’s very light, soft, absorbent and fast-drying. 

Thinner and lighter to pack than a Terry towel and sand brushes off easily. Your towel will only get softer and more absorbent the more you use it.

Spun in peshtemal style using centuries-old techniques in Denizli, the textile region of Turkey.

How to care for your Turkish towel

A quick rinse will remove salt. To machine-wash, use a gentle cycle and low temperature. Best air-dried, or tumble-dry on a gentle cycle to preserve your towel’s tassels. 

Your peshtemal towel will get softer and more absorbent with every wash. Avoid fabric softeners - they can limit your towels absorbency (and Turkish peshtemal towels are soft enough without it).

If tassels unravel, re-twist them in a clockwise motion. If a thread comes loose, you can snip it off with scissors. Your flat-woven towel will not unravel.
